Terms of Sale and Refund Policy
Effective October 21, 2026
These Terms of Sale apply to every purchase from The Study Guide Wizard, a business operated by Pairadice Psychotherapy (“we,” “us”). By completing a purchase at thestudyguidewizard.com, you agree to these terms.
1. What you're buying
The Study Guide Wizard sells digital study materials for candidates preparing for the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) LMFT Clinical Exam. Products include the full study guide and individual sections sold separately. All products are delivered digitally. Nothing is shipped.
2. Payment and checkout
Orders are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record. Stripe handles payment, billing, receipts and any applicable sales tax, VAT or GST, and its own terms also apply to your transaction. We never see or store your full card details.
Prices are listed in US dollars unless shown otherwise. We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order you've already paid for. Launch prices are introductory and will increase after the launch period ends on the date shown on our website.
3. Access and delivery
Your purchase gives you online access to the guide or section you bought, starting right after payment. To open it on another device, sign in on our website with the email you used at checkout and we'll email you a one-click sign-in link. If you bought the PDF, you can download it from your library. If you can't get in within 24 hours, check your spam folder, then email thestudyguidewizard@gmail.com and we'll sort it out.
Your access is for you personally. You can sign in on a reasonable number of your own devices; signing in on a new device may sign you out of another. Sign-in links work once and expire after a short time.
4. Refunds
Because our products are digital and you can access them immediately, all sales are final and we don't offer refunds once a purchase is complete, except as described below or where the law requires otherwise.
We will make it right in these cases:
- Access problems or broken files. If you can't access what you bought, or a file won't open, we'll fix it. If we can't, we'll refund you.
- Duplicate purchase. If you were charged twice for the same product, we'll refund the duplicate.
- Charged in error. If you were charged for something you didn't order, we'll refund it.
To request help, email thestudyguidewizard@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase with your order number.
Refunds aren't available for not passing the exam, changing your mind, buying the wrong section, or deciding the guide doesn't suit your study style. Please read each product description before you buy.
Because Stripe is the merchant of record, Stripe may also issue a refund in some cases, for example where consumer law in your region gives you a cooling-off period, or to resolve a payment problem. If a purchase is refunded, access to what you bought ends.
5. No guarantee of results
Our materials are a study aid. We don't guarantee that you will pass the LMFT Clinical Exam or any other exam. See our Disclaimer for more.
6. Chargebacks
If you have a problem, please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. If a chargeback is filed on a valid purchase, your access to the materials may be removed.
7. Discount codes and complimentary access
Discount codes are issued at our discretion. A code may be limited to one use, to certain products, or to a period of time, and has no cash value. Complimentary or tester access given through a code may be time-limited; when that period ends, so does your access. Access you paid for isn't affected.
8. Referral program
Customers who own the full study guide may receive a personal referral link. When someone who hasn't bought from us before pays for any guide after opening that link, you receive the PDF of the full study guide at no charge. Each customer can earn the PDF once. Rewards have no cash value and can't be transferred. We may withhold or remove a reward for referrals that are refunded, self-referrals, or misuse of the program, and we may change or end the program at any time; rewards already earned stay yours.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version posted on our website at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia. Where your local consumer protection law gives you rights that can't be waived, nothing here takes those rights away.
